Day 18 - Systems Based Approaches to the Garden
Share

Systems Based Approaches are another thing that I initially wrote off as something that only applied to commercial farmers who had employees to count on. The reality is that a homestead that is run by only 2 adults, especially one where those adults work off the homestead, will require systems to be in place for at least some of the tasks.

At its core, adopting a systems based approach means thinking holistically, creating interconnected processes, and designing the garden to work smarter, not harder.

It means saving time, reducing stress, and creating a culture of abundance in your garden.

Today’s post shares:

  • how a systems based approach increases efficiency in the garden

  • examples of systems we have implemented in our garden

  • a how-to for building systems for your own garden
